City Sanctuary resident survey

Word cloud of responses about what makes Dunedin special.

In October, City Sanctuary released a survey to get a pulse on how Dunedin residents feel about predator control activities in the city, the impact of predators in the local environment and how we can sustainably support predator control.

The survey results from 261 participants provided excellent feedback that will help inform future project plans.

Our survey respondents overwhelmingly identified Dunedin’s natural environment and biodiversity as real assets to the city. We have such a beautiful green city to be proud of!

The most common concern from respondents about predator control was the issue of cat ownership and the desire for more education about this topic. Sustained predator control within the current funding environment was also a key area that respondents were mindful about.
